Summary: Jack is thrilled with his free gift.

A/N: Double drabble.
“Look!” Jack said, sounding excited as he pulled something out of the box he was unpacking. “I’ve got a free gift for being a repeat customer!”
Ianto raised an eyebrow as he looked at the cheap plastic pen that advertised the company the package was from. “As a loyalty incentive, that’s a bit lame, don’t you think? They give those out in the hopes that you’ll pass it on to someone else who might order from them.”
“But it’s free with my order! I like it!”
Jack’s enthusiasm for such things always baffled Ianto. “It probably doesn’t work.”
Every complimentary pen Ianto had ever received had been a dud, much to his disgust since there had been times he really could have used a working pen. These days he always had a quality ballpoint to hand, since they were less prone to leakage than fountain pens, but just after he moved to London, when he was filling out a lot of job applications, finding something to write with had been a bigger problem than it should have been.
“You’re just annoyed because you didn’t get one,” Jack said smugly. “Here, you can have the free calendar instead.”
“Thanks a lot.”
